AGM: Sunday 13 October, 17:00
WANTED - VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE ON THE GENERAL AND OTHER COMMITTEES
7 August 2019

As a result of the usual 3 year rotation and possible elevation to flag rank, there will be vacancies on the General Committee for election at the AGM on Sunday 13 October.

We want to attract as broad a section of the membership as possible to serve on the General Committee so that all age groups and elements of the Club are represented and can have their say in the running and management of the Club. So, if you consider that you would like to help with the overall management of the Club, please put your name forward for possible election to the General Committee. Any enthusiastic Club member who believes they have something to offer the Club is welcome to stand for election. The term is for 3 years and General Committee members must also serve on either the House, Sailing or Estates Committees. For further information please contact the secretaries. The General Committee meets monthly except in August.

Three weeks before the AGM, the names of those retiring will be posted on the Club noticeboard and website. If you would like to put your name forward, please apply to the office for an application form, to be signed by a proposer and seconder by 21 September 2019. The names of all those putting their names forward will be posted on the Club noticeboard and website. Names submitted after this time will not be accepted.

In addition we will have the annual election for Flag Officers. Candidates need to complete a form in the office. For both General Committee and Flag Officer appointments, in the event that a vote is required candidates will be required to submit a few lines to support their application.

There will be vacancies on our Sailing, House and Estate Committees and members all bring some level of expertise – whether it be practical, financial, organisational or a general willingness to help the Club.  The Estates Committee has a small team of  volunteers who meet on a Tuesday morning for ad hoc jobs around the Club and we would welcome new recruits if you could spare any time.  We would like to hear from members who believe they have skills to offer any of these committees.

Please contact the office for more information.
