'Friends of Chichester Harbour' is a registered charity which exists to preserve and improve the unique beauty of Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

We are looking forward to CoW (Children on Water) week and to having the opportunity to tell you about us and what we do. We hope if you are not already members that you will consider and indeed join us in helping to conserve and protect this naturally beautiful area. There has never been a more important time to help preserve the environment for people and wildlife. We are ahead of the game here, so let’s keep it beautiful!

Tuesday August 13th
We will be at the Club from 12:00 onwards. Chris Clode, Trustee of The Friends' Executive Committee and Chairman of the Oyster Boat 'Terror' Operating Group, will introduce our stand. There will be a children’s competition in which you could win a T-shirt just by telling us how you think we can continue to look after the AONB. The competition closing time will be Wednesday 14 August in the morning when the children arrive at ESC, and the prizes will be awarded in the afternoon.

If you choose to join The Friends at ESC over these days there will be an opportunity to sail on 'Terror', our lovely Victorian Oyster Boat which many of you would have seen leading the ESC100 Sail Past. 'Terror' is supported by The Friends and she will be alongside at the Club on Friday 16 August. We will put names in a hat from our new Friends recruits to determine who goes for a sail! (A child must be 6 years or over and each child must be accompanied by an adult.)
